Who
The Seminars will be organised by the Legal historians of ‘Roma Tre’. They are open to undergraduates, graduates, researchers and professors of Legal History (and related subjects) of the University of ‘Roma Tre’, ‘La Sapienza’ and ‘Tor Vergata ‘. All Italian and foreign scholars of Legal History (and related subjects) are very welcome.
Why
The structure of Italian Universities – with their large departments, a widespread partecipation at national and international projects, and the centralisation and digitisation of libraries – is weakening the internal dialogue among colleagues of the same area at a local level. Such a conversation used to be nourished by the common attendance to specialized Institutes, libraries and departments into which Faculties used to be divided. Through the seminars of the first Wednesday of the month, the Legal Historians of ‘Roma Tre’ intend to create a stable meeting-place in Rome where specialists of every level and age can share – between doubts and certainties – their researches or their future projects. The meetings will have an informal character in order to encourage the collective discussion, that is the real essence of our seminars.
